The following is a copy of a letter received from ‘Algarve Bowls’ concerning the recent visit by some of our members to Portugal.
I recently had the repeat pleasure of organising a bowling tour here on the Algarve for members of Cardonald Bowling Club.
May I say that the group were not only a credit to Cardonald Bowling Club but also a credit to Glasgow itself. They made many new friends and each and every club they visited made comment on what a great crowd they were.
Please convey my gratitude to Mr & Mrs Lindsay who must have put in a great deal of work in organising such a tour and again a credit to your Club.
They also won the Algarve Bowls cup playing against ex pats and a team from Bognor Regis which they promised to defend next year.
Well done Cardonald.
David Reilly ( Algarve Bowls )
